Mahalo stores personal information — including donor or client profile information, transaction records, email addresses, phone numbers, and related account information — using secure service providers and systems selected to meet applicable Canadian privacy and data protection requirements.

Where possible and commercially reasonable, Mahalo seeks to store Canadian client and donor data within Canada. In limited circumstances, personal information may be accessed by authorized Mahalo personnel or approved service providers located outside Canada, including in India, solely for operational, technical support, customer service, compliance, fraud prevention, or platform maintenance purposes. Any such access is restricted to authorized individuals on a need-to-know basis and is subject to confidentiality obligations, access controls, auditability, and internal data governance policies.

Mahalo does not store full credit card numbers, CVV codes, or complete payment card credentials on its own systems. Payment card information is processed by PCI-compliant third-party payment processors. Mahalo may receive and retain limited payment-related information, such as transaction status, payment reference numbers, last four digits of a card, card brand, expiry month/year, billing contact details, and other information required for receipts, reconciliation, fraud prevention, regulatory compliance, and customer support.

Mahalo maintains internal privacy, security, and data governance practices governing the collection, handling, storage, access, retention, and disclosure of personal information. Upon reasonable request, Mahalo may provide clients or partners with additional information regarding its privacy, security, and data handling practices, subject to confidentiality, security, and legal limitations.
